Gucci unveiled its Fall/Winter 2025 collection under the theme Continuum a reflection of the continuity of craftsmanship, creativity, and culture passed down from generation to generation. From artisans and designers to the people who wear the clothes, everyone plays a part in shaping the “world of Gucci,” a universe that moves seamlessly through the past, present, and future.

At the core of Gucci’s Italian style is sprezzatura the art of being effortlessly cool which has become the brand’s DNA. This collection embraces that ease, blending it with sharp tailoring, soft fabrics, and construction that balances precision with freedom.

The show stood out with a dark green runway woven with the Interlocking G motif, celebrating its 50th anniversary. This symbol of connection became a representation of duality masculine and feminine, strength and softness, discipline and playfulness all merging into one harmonious vision.

What made the collection especially intriguing was the interplay of materials. Traditional menswear fabrics such as tweed and wool were reimagined for womenswear, while crepe de chine and mohair shirting added delicacy to stronger looks. It was a constant dialogue of hard and soft at once bold and refined.

The silhouettes also traced a journey through time, from the 1960s when Gucci introduced ready-to-wear, through the minimalism of the 1990s, to today’s maximalism. All eras were woven together, anchored by one of Gucci’s most iconic motifs: the Horsebit.

The Horsebit is the star of this collection. On its 70th anniversary, the Horsebit 1955 bag was reinterpreted in multiple forms, from oversized to mini, and expanded into the new Gucci Siena, a bag defined by its half-Horsebit click closure. This emblem appeared everywhere from bags and shoes to jewelry infusing the collection with a playful edge while honoring heritage.

But Gucci has never treated fashion as just clothing it’s always been a cinematic experience. For this show, a live orchestra performed under the direction of Justin Hurwitz, the two-time Academy Award–winning composer. His score amplified the storytelling, transforming the runway into an emotional and powerful narrative that lingered far beyond the clothes themselves.
