The Louis Vuitton Men’s Fall-Winter 2025 Collection, titled Remember the Future, is a dialogue between past and future. Co-created by Pharrell Williams and NIGO, it’s more than a collection—it’s a lifelong friendship translated into fashion. Through clothes, accessories, and symbolism, the duo weave together the roots of streetwear with the refinement of Louis Vuitton, creating a collection that honors history while embracing tomorrow.
Pharrell x NIGO: A Brotherhood in Style
Their story goes back to 2003, when they co-founded Billionaire Boys Club and ICECREAM, and soon after collaborated with Louis Vuitton on the now-iconic Millionaires 1.0 sunglasses. NIGO, founder of A Bathing Ape and now Artistic Director at Kenzo, has long been a pioneer of streetwear. Pharrell, appointed Men’s Creative Director at Louis Vuitton in 2023, brings his vision as a global cultural icon. Their shared journey—marked by archives, music, and design—culminates in this collection, where friendship and creativity merge.
Streetwear Meets Dandyism
At the heart of the collection lies the tension between street and dandy elegance. Workwear silhouettes—engineers, chefs, gardeners—are elevated with premium fabrics. Tailoring is relaxed and reimagined: cropped leather trousers, jackets infused with Japanese construction, and bomber silhouettes adorned with bold insignia. Rockabilly and mod influences echo through the cuts and details, paying tribute to subcultures that shaped both Pharrell and NIGO.
Japanese Craft in the DNA of Vuitton
Japanese artistry runs deep throughout the collection. The Dandy Monogram fuses Louis Vuitton’s floral emblem with Shippo weaving, appearing in jacquards, sashiko denim, and crystal embroidery. The Dandy Damier, inspired by tea ceremony textiles, redefines the classic checkerboard in knitwear and leather. The Cherry Blossom Damoflage brings softness through sakura pink, fluffy yarns, and dew-like crystals, while wave jacquards nod to the traditional boro repair technique. These motifs aren’t just decorative—they represent the cultural bridge at the core of Pharrell and NIGO’s vision.
Bags as Symbols of Friendship
Bags become canvases of storytelling. The Damier Phriendship Bags feature silhouettes of Pharrell and NIGO’s profiles across checkerboard canvas, symbolizing decades of creative brotherhood. The classic Speedy is reborn in shades inspired by Japan: Yuzu Yellow, Sencha Green, and Sakura Pink, plus limited editions in traditional indigo dye and kintsugi-inspired gold. These reinterpretations remind us that heritage can always be reshaped into something new.
Trunks as Living Art
One of the most striking pieces is the Flower Trunk by Japanese floral artist Azuma Makoto. Crafted from transparent acrylic and filled with real flowers, it explores the tension between fragility and eternity. Alongside it, ceremonial trunks for tea and sake rituals embody a dialogue between French and Japanese craftsmanship—a fitting tribute to the cross-cultural synergy of Pharrell and NIGO.
Footwear and Eyewear: From Archives to Tomorrow
Footwear updates key streetwear codes with a luxe twist. The LV ButterSoft Sneaker, made from ultra-supple leather, features Pharrell’s profile on the tongue. The LV Bubble inflates classic loafers and derbies into bold silhouettes, while the LV Remix reimagines hiking boots with chunky laces and technical finishes. Eyewear continues the legacy: the LV FROG Sunglasses adapt Vuitton’s trunk S-lock as hinges, and the Millionaires 1.0 are revived in translucent, bi-color, and bold frame variations, linking the duo’s early collaborations to the present.
The Soundtrack of the Future
Music has always been part of Pharrell’s DNA, and this show was no exception. Opening with Nobuo Uematsu’s “One-Winged Angel” from Final Fantasy VII, performed by a live orchestra, the soundtrack blended gaming nostalgia with contemporary energy. Pharrell also produced exclusive tracks, including collaborations with SEVENTEEN, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Don Toliver, and j-hope. The result was a cinematic experience that merged fashion, culture, and sound into one.
Remember the Future
Ultimately, this collection is not just about clothes. It’s a record of friendship, culture, and the evolution of style. Pharrell Williams and NIGO remind us that fashion lives in the tension between memory and vision—between what came before and what lies ahead. With Remember the Future, Louis Vuitton once again proves that true style is timeless, adaptable, and deeply personal.
